European Journal for Biomedical Informatics Shows High Respect to the Editors for Assisting Journal since 15 Years

On the grand occasion of competing 15th anniversary, European Journal for Biomedical Informatics (ISSN: 1801-5603) expresses gratitude to all the editorial board members for their continuous efforts, support and encouragement throughout the publication journey of the journal, right from its inception in the year 2005 and congratulates them for making the journal achieve its goals and becoming successful as one of the leading and well-recognized broadcaster of scientific outcomes and perspectives from systematic enquiry into Biomedicine, Biometrics, Health informatics, Medical informatics, Clinical informatics, Dental Informatics, Semantics Interoperability, Ontology, Medical devices, Informatics applications in Imaging, Telemedicine/Telehealth, Artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The journal is extremely privileged to have Prof. Jana Zvárová, Prof. Mauro Giacomini, Prof. Izet Masic, Bernd Blobel, Prof. Martti Juhola as its Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors, leading the board of academic editorial panel. The Journal expresses appreciation for professional execution of their responsibilities which include spearheading the overall editorial activity of the Journal and gaining commercial acclaim in open access publishing in addition to coining the special issue themes and guiding the compilation and production of special issues and titles as per the contemporary information demands.

Dr. Jana Zvarova (Former) she was one of the most active members within IMIA and EFMI and perhaps the very first person in our field from the former East-European countries. Perhaps, Jana Zvárová’s first visit to an international conference was in 1983, when she attended Med info 83 in Amsterdam, IMIA’s tri-annual World Conference on Medical Informatics.

Prof. Mauro Giacomini is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Communication, Computer and System Sciences in the University of Genoa. Since 2013 he is also a member of the Center of Excellence for Biomedical Research (CEBR).

Prof. Izet Masic In 2017 he has been elected as Founding member of International Academy of Health Sciences Information (MIAHSI). He organized has organized over 50 scientific and professional conferences and among those 10 during the war time in Sarajevo.

Prof. Bernd Blobel was Co-Chair Health Commission of the UNESCO World Information Technology Forum (WITFOR), Founder and Board Member of the Research and Development Institute for Health and Social Affairs Saxony-Anhalt as well as Founder and Chair of the Cancer Registry for that federal state.

Prof. Martti Juhola is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Tampere University School of Information Sciences.
